Introducing Myself...

I thought it was maybe about time I reintroduced myself in my blog space. So here goes...

Hi! My name is Amelia and I am a freelance journalist and content writer, writing specifically for lifestyle brands.

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Music, which I obtained from the University of Leeds back in 2020. Since then, I qualified as a journalist with the National Council for the Training of Journalists, worked as a local reporter for the Goole Times and as a Communications Executive for a major UK company. Now, I work entirely freelance, offering my writing skills and marketing experience to lifestyle brands and businesses.

Since I began my freelance journey, I have written blog posts and website content for a variety of different brands, both in the UK and further afield. This has included written content in the fields of skincare, travel, wellness, watches and sustainable fashion.

Some facts about me:

• I live in Hull with my cat, Esme, who is completely insane and keeps me on my toes every day!

• I love to swim, walk and travel, and last year learnt how to climb and qualified as a scuba diver.

• Reading is a huge hobby of mine- this year my Good Reads goal is to hit 100 books.

• I am a clarinetist and play in my local wind band, something I haven't done in a long time but have loved getting back into.
